Job Description – Factory Staff General Summary Joiner / Cabinet Maker

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

• Understand a cutlist
• Knowledge of reading plans
• All Workshop cabinetry fabrication
• Laminating / edging / sanding / spraying / timber finishing
• Curved walls and doors
• Upholstery / Pinboards / Screens
• Knowledge of hardware and fixing methods
• General knowledge of all factory machines (Beam Saw, Driller, CNC etc)
• Basic Understanding of site requirements and installations
• Quality Checking AS YOU GO
• Protection and palletising finished goods

GENERAL FACTORY RULES

• Punctuality & Reliability, Adhering to set breaks
• Minimal phone use
• Good communication is essential
• Good personal presentation
• Attending necessary training
• Raising defects and issues with your supervisor promptly – ANY problem is best solved quickly
• Commit to making today’s factory run better than yesterday
• Complying with any reasonable instruction related to health and safety.
• Understand the hazards, risks and controls associated with your job and report/document any incidents.
• Report environmental aspects and impacts.
