Job Description – Factory Staff General Summary Joiner / Cabinet Maker
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Understand a cutlist
- Knowledge of reading plans
- All Workshop cabinetry fabrication
- Laminating / edging / sanding / spraying / timber finishing
- Curved walls and doors
- Upholstery / Pinboards / Screens
- Knowledge of hardware and fixing methods
- General knowledge of all factory machines (Beam Saw, Driller, CNC etc)
- Basic Understanding of site requirements and installations
- Quality Checking AS YOU GO
- Protection and palletising finished goods
GENERAL FACTORY RULES
- Punctuality & Reliability, Adhering to set breaks
- Minimal phone use
- Good communication is essential
- Good personal presentation
- Attending necessary training
- Raising defects and issues with your supervisor promptly – ANY problem is best solved quickly
- Commit to making today’s factory run better than yesterday
- Complying with any reasonable instruction related to health and safety.
- Understand the hazards, risks and controls associated with your job and report/document any incidents.
- Report environmental aspects and impacts.
